Promising Pearls
Academic Scholarship
The T. L. Webb’s Promising Pearls Academic Scholarship was established in 2018 by Tamesha Webb. Tamesha has always been passionate about improving the experience of girls in education, especially young Black girls. As an avid supporter of girls’ education, she knew that she wanted to give back and support girls with their college academic experience. With this in mind, she created a book scholarship that could potentially offset the cost of college textbooks. The scholarship is currently awarded to young women who plan to enroll in a Historical Black College or University. This year, three young ladies will each receive a book scholarship in the amount of $350.
